A Voice That Sounds Like Someone You Know
Hi, I’m Marcella.
I’m a voice actor, and my work usually lands in a very natural place. The goal is almost always the same. Sound real. Sound believable. Don’t get in the way of the idea.
I’m often brought in for real-person reads. Commercials, brand videos, PSAs. Projects that need to feel honest and grounded, not hyped or overproduced. If the script should sound like it’s coming from an actual person, that’s my lane.
I also do a lot of university, institutional, healthcare, and eLearning work. Different spaces, same approach. Calm, clear, and easy to listen to. Credible without being stiff.
I’m an African American voice actor, and I’m trusted on projects that care about authenticity and cultural awareness, while still needing to speak to a wide audience. That balance matters to me, and it shows up in the work.
People usually describe my voice as conversational, warm, and emotionally grounded. Confident, but relaxed. Polished enough to feel professional, but never “voiceover-y.”
I’m easy to collaborate with, quick to turn things around, and happy to adjust as things evolve.
